Landmark meeting between Nyiyaparli and Martu elders

A landmark meeting between Nyiyaparli and Martu elders and other leaders has mapped out a future in East Newman to uphold Aboriginal culture and traditions.

Nyiyaparli and Martu elders confirmed that the goal of improvements in East Newman needs to support families to remain together through all stages of life with culture strong.

To achieve this improvements and access to housing, parks and facilities, including a corner store is required.

This meeting follows the on-going engagement and co-design with Nyiyaparli, Martu and other stakeholders on East Newman over the past few years.
